Sodalite Physical Properties-

Sodalite is the name for a group of minerals containing hauyne, nosean, lazurite and tugtupite, which contain high concentrationsof sodium, hence the name! A naturally blue crystal with veins/patches of white which grows in large masses and can be translucent (in smaller crystals) to opaque. 

Hardness of 5.5 to 6, this crystal can be well polished leaving a waxy to vitreous lustre. Carvings in Sodalite are both beautiful and powerful.
