What is Lapis Lazuli?

Lapis Lazuli is derived from the Arabic lazaward, or Azure, which describes the rich blue colour of the material. It is a combination of Azurite, Calcite and Pyrite Spangles.

This material is from Afghanistan 🇦🇫 other localities include Russia 🇷🇺 Chile 🇨🇱 the USA 🇺🇸 and Myanmar 🇲🇲
